Abstract:Based on daily temperature data from 42 meteorological stations in Xinjiang from 1971 to 2016,10 extreme temperature indicators recommended by the World Meteorological Organization(WMO)were selected.The temporal and spatial variation rules of the extreme temperature index in the region were analyzed through using linear trend method,Kriging interpolation method and Mann-Kendall mutation test.The results showed as follows.The four extreme high temperature indexes in Xinjiang from 1971 to 2016 all showed a clear upward trend.Except for the extreme minimum temperature index,the other indexes characterizing extreme low temperature all showed a downward trend.The three extreme high temperature indexes(SU,TXx,TX90P),three extreme low temperature indexes(FD,TNn,TX10P)and two extreme continuity indexes(WSDI,CSDI)all changed abruptly from 1971 to 2016.The mutation began as early as the late 1970s and concentrated in the 1990s.The change characteristics of the extreme temperature index showed a spatial transition trend from southeast to northwest.Under the background of the increasing trend of global warming,analyzing the characteristics of the space-time changes of extreme cold and warm temperature in Xinjiang from 1971 to 2016,the conclusions of which the temperature in Xinjiang is obviously increasing,and the warming in the north and east is stronger than in the south were obtained.It provided some data support for the research on climate change in Xinjiang.
