长江中游平原湖区的农业发展潜力

随着上海浦东开放和三峡工程上马，长江中游平原湖区的农业生产地位更趋重要。由于全区垦殖率较高。后备耕地较少，农业自然资源外延挖潜只能依赖养殖水域开发和湖洲资源利用；在耕地规模扩大潜力有限的情况下，改造中低产田、提高单产，发展冬季农业与旱作农业、增加复种，已是商品基地生产内涵挖潜的关键。在此基础上，初步框算了区域主要农产品的生产潜力及潜在人口支持能力。指出政策落实，科技进步，资金保证，环境改善，是区域农业生产综合挖潜的根本条件。

POTENTIAL AGRICULTUKAL PRODUCTIVITY OF THE LOWLACUSTRINE PLAIN IN THE MIDDLE REACHES OF THE YANGTZE RIVER

Agriculture accupies a dominant position in the lacustrine plane of the middlereaches of the Yangtze River.Further tapping of the natural agricultural resources, how-ever,will have to resort to the exploitation of aquacultural waters and the utilization of thesand-bar resources. Improving the soil of low-yieid fields,dlanoration of winter agricul-ture and dry-land crops,and extending the area of multiple cropping are considered to be-key steps to work out the agricultural potentialities of this region. On the basis of thisidea, the potential production of the staple agricuItural products and the carrying capacityfor the potential population of this region are estimated.It is pointed out that the imple-mentation of national policy,the advancement of science and technology,the warrant offunding and the improvement of environmental conditions are the requisites for unfoldingthe agricuItural potentialities.
