THE QUESTIONS OF THE ANCIENT GEOGRACIAL ENVIRONMENTS IN THE UPPER REACHES REGION OF YANGTZE RIVER DELTA

In this paper following questions have been discussed, i.e. the historical evidence regard the Xuxi River as one of the earliest canal in China; open and silt of the Xuxi River affected the changes of the geographical environments in the upper and lower reachers of Yangtze River delta; and the principal process of forming of the ancient Danyang Lake its silting up, the division of the lake and reclaiming land from the lake.
