| Abstract: | A monitoring and pre-warning system for a big ball-tank of liquefied ammonia is described. In this system under normal condition the computer shows analogic flow scheme and process parameters for the production controlling operator.As the accidental release occurs and the threshold value of ammonia concentration in air is reached, the computer can calculate approximate release volume according to measured process parameters and plot iso-concentration curve on the chart of the area around the plant according to weather parameters measured by detectors automatically. At the same time the computer can provide an expert system for emergency measures. |
