| Abstract: | The limitations of conventional project level EIA under the requirements of sustainable development strategy are examined.The relationships between cumulative impact assessment and sustainable development and the necessities for implementing cumulative impact assessment are analyzed.A brief review on the current situation of cumulative impact assessment research is made. The research objectives,scopes and methods for launching studies on cumulative impact assessment in China are explored. |
