| Abstract: | In this overview the dioxins toxicity and its sources are introduced and the production and emission mechanisms of dioxins during incineration of soild waste are discussed with focus on its control measures. It is also pointed out that the waste incineration may not be a significant source of environmental dioxins if the management of solid waste is reinforced and the incinerator is operated under optimal conditions. |
