Performance and Application Comparison between Bag Filter and Cyclone Separator

The production background and development history of bag filter and cyclone separator, their general structure and work principles were briefly explained. The common classification of these two dust precipitators was enumerated. The comparison results show that the main advantages of dust cyclone separator are little limit in concentration and temperature, no special require- ment for the physical properties of dusts, moderate pressure loss, little power consumption, low operation and maintenance costs. The main advantages of bag filter are high dust removal efficiency, especially for the treatment of fine dust. The performance and influencing factors of bag filter and cyclone separator were elaborated. The development tendency of these two kinds of dust precipitators was forecast.
