Application of GIS Technology in the Planning of Nature Reserves

Based on the Geographic Information System (GIS) technology application status in the nature reserve planning,this paper analyzed the current research focus of the technology, trends and problems. Current research focus is how GIS technology combines with Remote Sensing (RS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) technology; how to effectively handle a large number of survey data, of which the uncertainty is the main problem currently facing; and how the technology of GIS mapping out figure combines with graphics processing software Photoshop to make the planning maps more perfect is the future research trends.
