| Abstract: | This article shows that there are three kinds of supply-demand relationships in environment-society cycle, which are determinant to social action, social functioning and social change. Furthermore, the authors describe the differences and similarities among those three conceptions, as well as their roles in sustainable development. At the end of the article, the prospect of the application of the theory and its methodology is discussied. |
