Review on development and prevention of coal mine gas explosion

This paper comprehensively reviews the theoretical, experimental, and numerical studies on the prevention and control of gas explosions. The research topics include the mechanism of gas explosion, the gas composition and concentration of explosion, the explosion condition and harm, the combustion phase change, and the fluid flow in the explosion. The prevention and control methods involve explosion suppression, explosion resistance, explosion relief, and explosion isolation. The four methods have overlapping parts, and each method has its merits and limitations. The coupling of different methods is better than the single method. Finally, the future research work is outlined.
