| Abstract: | In this paper, the state of the art of phyto remediation technology is briefly reviewed with particular emphasis on its application for controlling heavy metals pollution. Different species of algae, herbs as well as arbores are enumerated in terms of their behaviors of removing heavy metals from water and soil. |
