Abstract: | Energy efficiency is a sensible scheme for saving money, conserving natural resources and reducing CO2 emissions. However, incentives for energy conservation vary greatly between different nations. Energy prices are the key to energy conservation, many observers argue. This paper focuses on one of the world's most rapidly developing energy consumers -- China -- and contemplates the current and future impact of energy prices on China's energy-efficient behaviour. |
