This paper brings forward the structure,performance and characteristics of water treatment facilities of various new types recently developed by foreign companies．After being put into operation they have improved the quality of produced water and fulfilled the water quality standards.Some of them have been introduced into China’s oil fields treating produced water and achieved good results．
