| Abstract: | This paper makes a comparison of nutrients content of latosols in Leizhou peninsula and Hainan Island. The results show that, the nutrients content of latosols, specially the vapidly available one, in Leizhou peninsula is higher than that in Hainan Island. However, similar circumstance can be found only in latosols developed from basalt and shallow sea deposit rather than in latosols developed from granite and arenaceous shale. It is indicated that the nutrients content of latosols in both regions presents a drop trend. So more rational utilization of these soils are quite required. |
