Analysis and treatment of abnormal leakage current in a converter transformer core

For abnormal leakage current data of converter transformer iron core, by analyzing theformation mechanism and the possible reason, the measures were presented for large current shock ofthe electric welding machine , inner check with discharge oil and addition of current limiting device.Eventually the grounding current of the converter transformer was controlled within the scope of the qualification , which provide reference for converter station operations and maintenance experience.
