The kinetics of sensitized photolysis for four pesticides, deltamethrin (Decis), acrinathrin (Rufast), s-fenvalerate (Sumialpha), and propiconazol (Tilt) in thin films and aerosol particles was investigated under sunlight or the irradiation from halogen or mercury lamp. The peculiarities of principle of the photochemistry of pesticides in high disperse substance state were discussed. The quantum yields of sensitized and direct photolysis were measured, and the phenomenological kinetic mechanism of photolysis was proposed and examined. Four relations between six rate constants of reaction steps of the kinetic mechanism were determined. The use of sensitizers to accelerate the decomposition rates of pesticide pollutants under sunlight could minimize the contamination of agricultural commodities and the adjacent environment. The Shirvanol 2 sensitizer (a by-product of the full treatment of Caspian oils) can regulate decomposition of many pesticides in a wide range of photolysis rates, so that practically any desired lifetime could be really available for either pesticide residues on plant foliage or pesticide aerosol particles in the air.  相似文献

Photochemical behaviour of carbendazim in aqueous solution   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6
To elucidate the photochemical behaviour of carbendazim (or MBC) in superficial waters, photolysis studies have been carried out in aqueous solutions at several pH using a UV light source (high pressure mercury arc lamp) or a solar light simulator (xenon arc lamp). The kinetics of photodecomposition of carbendazim was determined using HPLC-DAD and the identification of photoproducts was carried out with HPLC-MS (ESI negative and positive mode). According to the experimental results carbendazim is a rather stable molecule in the dark or in environmental conditions. The pH influence of the environmental medium on the photodegradation rate has been confirmed. The photochemical process can be considerably accelerated in alkaline solutions using HPK-quartz irradiation (quantum efficiency at pH 9 phi = 3.1 x 10(-3) degraded molecule per absorbed photon) while the photodegradation is not as efficient under a simulated sun irradiation (quantum efficiency in the suntest phi = 10(-4) at pH 7). Three photoproducts have been tentatively identified in pure water: 2-aminobenzimidazole, benzimidazole isocyanate and monocarbomethoxy-guanidine (issued from the cleavage of the benzimidazole ring). The last one seems very stable and could be accumulated in the environment.  相似文献

Photolysis behavior of a new herbicide propisochlor in water media as well as the effects of light sources, initial concentration of propisochlor, pH value, dissolved oxygen (DO) level, and salinity on the photolysis process was investigated. It was found that the relationship between initial concentration of propisochlor and its photodegradation rate was negatively correlated. The changes in acidity and alkalinity of the reaction medium influenced the photoreaction rate evidently. In the alkaline solution the degradation was accelerated. In the reaction media with different pH values, the photolysis followed the first-order kinetics. The presence of dissolved oxygen may promote the photolysis and there existed an optimum of dissolved oxygen concentrations. Increasing the DO level can weaken the promotion and even have an adverse effect. It was demonstrated that with dissolved oxygen the photodegradation of propisochlor followed the first-order kinetics equation. The addition of salt ions Ca2+ and Mg2+ changed the ionic strength and solvent polarity, resulting in the effect on propisochlor photolysis. The photoproducts were detected by both HPLC and GC-MS methods. It was found that photolysis products varied under different light sources. Conclusions may be reached that in the photodegradation of propisochlor, the benzene ring remained intact under irradiation of both solar light and high-pressure mercury lamp, and the amido link was relatively stable, while dechlorination was liable to take place; moreover, alpha-hydrogen at the substituent of benzene ring was active.  相似文献

The photodegradation of six individual PBDE congeners (BDE-28, 47, 99, 100, 153, 183) in hexane was investigated under UV light in the sunlight region, employing a mercury lamp filtered with Pyrex glass. All photodegradation reactions followed the pseudo-first-order kinetics, with the half-lives ranging from 0.26h for BDE-183 to 6.46h for BDE-100. The photochemical reaction rates of PBDEs decreased with decreasing number of bromine substituents in the molecule, also in some cases were influenced by the PBDE substitution pattern. Principal photoproducts detected were less brominated PBDEs, and no PBDE-solvent adducts were found. Consecutive reductive debromination was confirmed as the main mechanism for the photodegradation of PBDEs in hexane. In general, debromination firstly occurred on the more substituted rings, when the numbers of bromine atoms on the two phenyl rings were unequal. For less brominated PBDEs, the photoreactivity of bromines at various positions of phenyl rings decreased in the order: ortho>para; while for higher brominated PBDEs, the difference became not significant.  相似文献

Penoxsulam is a triazolopyrimidine sulfonamide group of rice herbicide. The phototransformation of penoxsulam was studied under UV light (lambda max >or= 290 nm) and sunlight in aqueous methanol and acetonitrile solvent system using TiO2 as sensitizer. The rate of photodegradation of penoxsulam in different solvent systems followed first-order kinetics and calculated half-lives was found to be in the range of 51.89-73.41 h and 62.70-97.09 h for UV light and sunlight respectively in the presence or absence of sensitizer. From this study, a total of six photoproducts were identified and characterized on the basis of Q-Tof micromass spectral data. The plausible mechanism of phototransformation involved were hydrolysis, photo oxidation of the sulfonamide group, breaking of sulfonamide bond, loss of amino and sulfonic acid group.  相似文献

The degradation photoproducts of the fungicide fenarimol obtained from irradiation of aqueous solutions with sunlight were characterised. The photoproducts resulting from samples with different exposure times were extracted and separated using chromatographic techniques. Seven main photoproducts were detected using high performance liquid chromatography with a photodiode array detector, gas chromatography with mass spectrometry detector and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Structures are suggested for possible photoproducts based on the characterisation results, minimum energy geometry of the parent compound, and the mass spectral behaviour of fenarimol. These correspond to the compounds with m/z 328 (three structural isomers (a), (b) and (c)), m/z 294 (two structural isomers (a) and (b)), m/z 292, 278 and 190. Of the various major products detected, the isomer 328(a) is seen to be particularly unstable under the action of sunlight. The most stable photoproducts are found to be those with m/z 294(a), 278 and 190. However, upon prolonged solar irradiation all of these break down to produce polar, low molecular weight compounds. Comparison with our own and other results on fenarimol photolysis indicate significant solvent effects on the process. The combination of these structural characterisation results and previous data from spectroscopic and photodegradation kinetics studies allows us to suggest some possible mechanisms for the photodegradation of fenarimol under sunlight.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Synthetic musk compounds are widely used as additives in personal care and household products. The photochemical degradation of musk tibetene in aqueous solutions or in acetonitrile/water mixtures under different conditions was studied in order to assess its environmental fate. METHODS: Musk tibetene dissolved (or suspended) in water and/or acetonitrile/water mixtures was irradiated at different times by UV-light and by solar light. The irradiation mixtures were analyzed by NMR and TLC. The photoproducts formed were identified by GC-MS and NMR data. RESULTS: The experimental results indicated that musk tibetene was photodegradable in water or acetonitrile/water mixtures with half-life reaction times close to 20 minutes. The irradiation mixtures were separated by chromatographic techniques yielding three photoproducts (3,3,5,6,7-pentamethyl-4-nitro-3H-indole, 3,3,5,6,7-pentamethyl-4-nitro-1H-indoline and 3,3,5,6,7-pentamethyl-4-nitro-3H-indolinone) identified by means of spectroscopic analysis. DISCUSSION: The numerical modelling of the photodegradation concentration-time profiles gave (8.13 +/- 0.15) x 10(-2) and (1.34 +/- 0.04) x 10(-2) mol/E for the overall primary quantum yield of direct photolysis for musk tibetene and the major intermediate (3,3,5,6,7-pentamethyl-4-nitro-3H-indolinone), respectively, in the wavelength range 305-366 nm. The half-life times of photodegradation of the both substances varied from 1-1.5 hours at 20 degrees N during the summer season to 6-10 hours for highest latitudes in winter. CONCLUSIONS: Under solar light, musk tibetene was photolabile in acetonitrile and acetonitrile/water 1/1, while it was slowly degraded when suspended in water. In all media, musk tibetene was photodegraded into three photoproducts. By using a kinetic model, the overall primary quantum yields of direct photolysis of musk tibetene and its main photoproduct, in the wavelength range 305-366 nm, were estimated, indicating that the photodegradation rate for musk tibetene is faster than the photolysis rate of the major by-product. RECOMMENDATIONS AND PERSPECTIVES: The results indicate that, in order to assess the environmental impact of musk tibetene on the aquatic ecosystem, great attention should be focused on the major photoproduct which is proved to be more persistent than the parent compound under light irradiation. The predicted half-life times of direct photolysis for both substances ranged from 1-1.5 hours at 20 degrees N during the summer season to about 6-10 hours for highest latitudes in winter, indicating that, from a photochemical point of view, the environmental persistence of these substances increases by increasing the latitudes and during the cold seasons, making more realistic an intake of these xenobiotic molecules into the food chain of aquatic living organisms. Tanabe reports in his Editorial (Tanabe 2005) that "It is necessary to have knowledge of the global picture of synthetic musk pathways. So, it is conceivable that now is the time to study the transport, persistency, distribution, bioaccumulation and toxic potential of this new environmental menace on a global scale, especially in developing countries". Therefore, the future environmental analysis and investigations on the eco-toxicity of nitro musk compounds should take into account not only the presence of the parent compounds but also their photochemical intermediates or end-by-products.  相似文献

The photodegradation of endocrine disrupter bisphenol A (BPA) in the presence of natural humic substances (HS) under simulated solar irradiation was studied. BPA underwent slow direct photolysis in neutral pure water, but rapid photosensitized degradation in four kinds of HS, following pseudo-first-order reaction. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) formed from HS were determined, including OH, (1)O(2) and H(2)O(2). The enhancement of BPA degradation by adding Fe(III) was primarily attributed to the oxidation of OH produced from photo-Fenton-like reaction. And the joint effects of HS and nitrate ions coexisting on BPA degradation appeared to depend on respective concentration levels. The effects of dissolved oxygen suggested that the energy transfer between excited state of SRFA and NOFA likely occurred, while the abstraction of phenolic hydrogen atom to reactive triplet state of NOHA possibly took place. Based on the structural analyses of main intermediates and degradation products of BPA detected by GC-MS, the possible photodegradation pathways were proposed, involving the alky cleavage, alkyl oxidation and OH addition. This study gave a better understanding for the photochemical transformation of BPA induced by ROS generated from natural water composition under sunlight irradiation.  相似文献

The photodegradation of phenol has been investigated under a high-pressure mercury lamp with a kind of jacket (glass or quartz) depending on used UV light range and a variety of experimental conditions: UV (lambda > 200 nm) with oxygen or with TiO2 and oxygen or with N2; UV (lambda > 330 nm) with oxygen or with TiO2 and oxygen or with N2. Photocatalysis and direct photolysis of phenol have different reaction pathways. Direct photolysis of phenol yielded a brown-yellow complex organic polymer in both aerobic and anaerobic environments. The polymer cannot be mineralized in an anaerobic environment. The effects of catalyst amount and oxygen concentration in the reaction atmosphere on the destruction of phenol were studied. The results prove that an appropriate catalyst amount can avoid direct photolysis and increase the mineralization rate of phenol.  相似文献

Light exposure of aqueous suspensions of prednisolone and dexamethasone causes their partial phototransformation. The photoproducts, isolated by chromatographic techniques, have been identified by spectroscopic means. Prednisolone, dexamethasone and their photoproducts have been tested to evaluate their acute and chronic toxic effects on some freshwater chain organisms. The rotifer Brachionus calyciflorus and the crustaceans Thamnocephalus platyurus and Daphnia magna were chosen to perform acute toxicity tests, while the alga Pseudokircheneriella subcapitata (formerly known as Selenastrum capricornutum) and the crustacean Ceriodaphnia dubia to perform chronic tests. The photochemical derivatives are more toxic than the parent compounds. Generally low acute toxicity was found. Chronic exposure to this class of pharmaceuticals caused inhibition of growth population on the freshwater crustacean C. dubia while the alga P. subcapitata seems to be less affected by the presence of these drugs.  相似文献

Fluoroquinolones like difloxacin (DIF) and sarafloxacin (SARA) are adsorbed in soil and enter the aquatic environment wherein they are subjected to photolytic degradation. To evaluate the fate of DIF and SARA, their photolysis was performed in water under stimulated natural sunlight conditions. DIF primarily degrades to SARA. On prolonged photodegradation, seven photoproducts were elucidated by HR-LC-MS/MS, three of which were entirely novel. The residual anti-bacterial activities of DIF, SARA and their photoproducts were studied against a group of pathogenic strains. DIF and SARA revealed potency against both Gram-positive and -negative bacteria. The photoproducts also exhibited varying degrees of efficacies against the tested bacteria. Even without isolating the individual photoproducts, their impact on the aquatic environment could be assessed. Therefore, the present results call for prudence in estimating the fate of these compounds in water and in avoiding emergence of resistance in bacteria caused by the photoproducts of DIF and SARA.  相似文献

Tetracycline photolysis in natural waters: loss of antibacterial activity   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Previous work has shown that tetracycline undergoes direct photolysis in the presence of sunlight, with the decomposition rate highly dependent on conditions such as water hardness and pH. The purpose of this study was to examine the potential long-term significance of photoproducts formed when tetracycline undergoes photodegradation under a range of environmentally relevant conditions. Tetracycline was photolyzed in nine different natural and artificial water samples using simulated sunlight. The pH values of the samples ranged from 5 to 9. Total hardness values (combined Ca2+ and Mg2+ concentrations) varied from 30 to 450 ppm. Assays based on growth inhibition of two bacterial strains, Escherichia coli DH5α and Vibrio fischeri, were used to determine the antibacterial activity of tetracycline’s photoproducts in these water samples. In all tested conditions, it was determined that the photoproducts retain no significant antibacterial activity; all observed growth inhibition was attributable to residual tetracycline. This suggests that tetracycline photoproducts formed under a wide range of pH and water hardness conditions will not contribute to the selection of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in environmental systems.  相似文献

On exposure to sunlight or photolysis at λ >300nm, the dechlorination of a polychlorinated biphenyl mixture (Aroclor 1254) in the H donor alcohol 2-propanol under neutral conditions is enhanced by the presence of the photosensitizer hydroquinone. Dechlorination is strongly promoted by an increasingly aqueous solvent (1:1 water:alcohol) and by maintaining neutral conditions (pH 7.0 buffer) both in the presence and absence of sensitizer. Atmospheric oxygen (continuous aeration) retards the hydroquinone induced dechlorination less than the direct photolysis process.  相似文献

The phototransformation of Oryzalin was studied under UV light (λmax ≥ 290 nm) and sunlight (λmax ≥ 250 nm) in aqueous isopropanol and acetonitrile solution in absence and presence of TiO2 as sensitizer. The rate of photodegradation of Oryzalin in different solvent system followed first-order kinetics, and calculated half-lives were found to be in the range of 23.52-53.75 h for UV light and 41.23-61.43 h for sunlight. From this study, total 12 photoproducts were identified and characterized on the basis of column chromatography and Q-Tof micromass spectral data. The plausible mechanism of phototransformation involved was hydrolysis, breaking of sulfonic bond, and loss of amino and sulfonic acid group.  相似文献

The photodegradation of the herbicide bensulfuron-methyl on dry soil surfaces in the presence and absence of humic substances was investigated under Xe lamp irradiation. A rapid rate of disappearance occurs in the humus-removed soil. The presence of humic acid (HA) and fulvic acid (FA) reduces degradation rates and has a quenching effect on the photodecomposition of bensulfuron-methyl. The quenching effect increases with increasing HA and FA concentration in soil. HA has a slightly greater ability to quenching the photolysis compared to FA. In addition, co-effects of HA and FA on quenching the photolysis are stronger than single effects of HA or FA.  相似文献

The photochemical persistence of quinalphos, one of the most widely used organophosphorous insecticides, was investigated in a variety of environmental matrices such as natural waters and soils of different composition. Simulated solar irradiation was obtained using a xenon arc lamp (Suntest CPS+ apparatus) giving an irradiation intensity of 750 W m(-2) equivalent to a light dose per hour of irradiation of 2,700 kJ m(-2). The phototransformation rates were determined using solid-phase microextraction (SPME) and ultrasonic extraction (USE) coupled to GC-FTD, while the identification of photoproducts was carried out by GC-MS. In water samples, the degradation kinetics followed a pseudo-first-order reaction and photolysis half-lives ranged between 11.6 and 19.0 h depending on the constitution of the irradiated media. Dissolved organic matter (DOM) has a predominant retarding effect, while nitrate ions accelerated the photodegradation kinetics. In soil samples, the degradation kinetics was monitored on 1mm soil layer prepared on glass TLC plates. The kinetic behaviour of quinalphos was complex and characterized by a double step photoreaction, fast in the first 4h of irradiation followed by a slow degradation rate up to 64 h. The photolysis half-life of quinalphos was shorter in sandy soil compared to the rest of the soil samples, varying between 16.9 and 47.5 h, and showing a strong dependence on the composition of the irradiated media. Among the transformation products formed mainly through photohydrolysis and photoisomerization processes, some photoproduct structures were proposed according to their mass spectral information.  相似文献

Photo solid-phase microextraction (photo-SPME) is applied for the first time to study the photochemical behavior of an emerging pollutant, triclosan, in real contaminated wastewater samples using a solar simulator. In this study, water samples are extracted by SPME and then, the fiber coating is irradiated for a selected time. This on-fiber procedure, so-called photo-SPME, followed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry makes it possible to study photodegradation kinetics and the generation of byproducts. Several photoproducts were identified in the real samples including the 2,8-dichlorodibenzo-p-dioxin, dichlorophenols and a compound tentatively identified as other DCDD congener or a dichlorohydroxydibenzofuran. Accordingly, it was possible to postulate main photodegradation mechanisms. Photo-SPME demonstrated slower kinetics in wastewater than in spiked ultrapure water probably due to the presence of dissolved organic matter. This technique was extensively compared with conventional aqueous photodegradation showing high similarity. The influence of pH on the triclosan photolysis and on the triclosan-dioxin conversion was also investigated in wastewater. Photodegradation of triclosan and formation of 2,8-DCDD occurred independently of sample pH. This study represents an advance in the use of photo-SPME to understand the photochemical fate of environmental organic pollutants and demonstrates its clear advantages with real samples.  相似文献

Photodegradation of the phenylurea herbicide monuron by using riboflavin (Rf), a sensitizer, was investigated by varying the doses of monuron and Rf in this work. An enhanced photochemical effect was observed in the process compared with the direct photolysis by using UV irradiation only. The reaction time was greatly shortened from more than 60 min (direct photolysis) to 8-30 min depending on the doses of initial concentration of monuron ([M]0) and Rf. A modified hyperbola model was found to be useful to determine the reaction kinetics and thereafter the performance on the photodegradation of monuron sensitized by Rf. Two measurable characteristic constants (initial decay rate and total removal index) were used to quantify the reaction. The maximum removal difference compared with the direct photolysis and Rf-sensitization was investigated. It was found that the improvement of the process depended on both the [M]0 and the doses of Rf.  相似文献
