The Integrated Battery Recycling (BATINTREC) process is an innovative technology for the recycling of used batteries and electronic waste, which combines vacuum metallurgical reprocessing and a ferrite synthesis process. Vacuum metallurgical reprocessing can be used to reclaim the mercury (Hg) in the dry batteries and the cadmium (Cd) in the Ni-Cd batteries. The ferrite synthesis process reclaims the other heavy metals by synthesizing ferrite in a liquid phase. Mixtures of manganese oxide and carbon black are also produced in the ferrite synthesis process. The effluent from the process is recycled, thus significantly minimizing its discharge. The heavy metal contents of the effluent could meet the Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard of China if the ratio of the crushed battery scrap and powder to FeSO4.7H2O is set at 1:6. This process could not only stabilize the heavy metals, but also recover useful resource from the waste. 相似文献

Industrial complexes may release dust emissions through several to up to tens of stacks, as well as via fugitive area sources. Several diffusion models for small-scale fugitive dust sources have been developed and combined with a point source model to form a series of models for industrial complexes. The applicable area of these models and the methods for obtaining the main parameters in the models have been tested and verified using measurement data gained from several field experiments. Contamination of oxygen-consuming organics (OCOs) was one of the most serious problems in the Yellow River of China. This
study was conducted to analyze monitoring of the data on OCOs contamination for the river in 1980 and during 1992–1999 as
well as examining the effect of suspended solids (SS) on chemical oxygen demand (CODMn) and biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5) of river water. Several significant results have arisen from the study. First, CODMn and BOD5 of the river water showed an increasing trend from the upper to the lower reaches of the mainstream. BOD5 values of river water in 1992 were significantly higher than those in 1980 and showed an increasing trend during 1992–1999.
Second, OCOs in river water of the mainstream was attributed mainly to point sources; the ratio of point to non-point sources
of BOD5 was about 2.81. The load from point sources showed an increasing trend during 1992–1998. In contrast, the load from non-point
sources manifested a decreasing trend during this period; this was caused by the decreasing trend of SS content in river water.
The total load of BOD5 from point and non-point sources displayed an increasing trend during 1992–1998. Third, as the humic substances in SS can
hardly be biologically oxidized in natural conditions but can be oxidized by chemical oxidants such as potassium permanganate,
CODMn was not suitable for being regarded as a parameter reflecting the pollution degree of OCOs in river water with a high SS

通过超声系列实验,对超声法从剩余污泥中提取微生物絮凝剂(MBF)进行了系统研究。从剩余污泥中提取的MBF在碱性条件下表现出较好的絮凝活性。提高污泥浓度有利于提取出较高絮凝活性的MBF。由于超声波的破解作用,超声频率或功率过高均不利于MBF的提取。在20 kHz的超声频率下,连续超声比脉冲为1、4或8 s超声时的提取效果均要好。经过工艺优化,采用20 kHz、120 W的超声波对剩余污泥(19.4 g/L)连续超声30 s,所提取的MBF对高岭土悬浊液的絮凝率接近70%。结果表明,超声法可用于从剩余污泥中直接提取MBF,在降低MBF生产成本的同时实现污泥的资源化利用。 相似文献

Simulation of soil loss processes based on rainfall runoff and the time factor of governance in the Jialing River Watershed,China 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Jialing River is the largest tributary in the catchment area of Three Gorges Reservoir, and it is also one of the important
areas of sediment yield in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. In recent years, significant changes of water and sediment
characteristics have taken place. The "Long Control" Project implemented since 1989 had greatly changed the surface appearance
of the Jialing River Watershed (JRW), and it had made the environments of the watershed sediment yield and sediment transport
change significantly. In this research, the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation was selected and used to predict the annual
average amount of soil erosion for the special water and sediment environments in the JRW after the implementation of the
"Long Control" Project, and then the rainfall–runoff modulus and the time factor of governance were both considered as dynamic
factors, the dynamic sediment transport model was built for soil erosion monitoring and forecasting based on the average sediment
yield model. According to the dynamic model, the spatial and temporal distribution of soil erosion amount and sediment transport
amount of the JRW from 1990 to 2007 was simulated using geographic information system (GIS) technology and space-grid algorithm.
Simulation results showed that the average relative error of sediment transport was less than 10% except for the extreme hydrological
year. The relationship between water and sediment from 1990 to 2007 showed that sediment interception effects of the soil
and water conservation projects were obvious: the annual average sediment discharge reduced from 145.3 to 35 million tons,
the decrement of sediment amount was about 111 million tons, and decreasing amplitude was 76%; the sediment concentration
was also decreased from 2.01 to 0.578 kg/m3. These data are of great significance for the prediction and estimation of the future changing trends of sediment storage
in the Three Gorges Reservoir and the particulate non-point source pollution load carried by sediment transport from watershed

Chlortoluron chlorination is studied in the pH range of 3-10 at 25 ± 1 °C. The chlorination kinetics can be well described by a second-order kinetics model, first-order in chlorine and first-order in chlortoluron. The apparent rate constants were determined and found to be minimum at pH 6, maximum at pH 3 and medium at alkaline conditions. The rate constant of each predominant elementary reactions (i.e., the acid-catalyzed reaction of chlortoluron with HOCl, the reaction of chlortoluron with HOCl and the reaction of chlortoluron with OCl−) was calculated as 3.12 (± 0.10) × 107 M−2 h−1, 3.11 (±0.39) × 102 M−1 h−1 and 3.06 (±0.47) × 103 M−1 h−1, respectively. The main chlortoluron chlorination by-products were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) with purge-and-trap pretreatment, ultra-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-MS and GC-electron capture detector. Six volatile disinfection by-products were identified including chloroform (CF), dichloroacetonitrile, 1,1-dichloropropanone, 1,1,1-trichloropropanone, dichloronitromethane and trichloronitromethane. Degradation pathways of chlortoluron chlorination were then proposed. High concentrations of CF were generated during chlortoluron chlorination, with maximum CF yield at circumneutral pH range in solution. 相似文献
