Acid resistance of methanogenic bacteria in a two-stage anaerobic process treating high concentration methanol Wastewater

In this study, the two-stage upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) system and batch experiments were employed to evaluate the performance of anaerobic digestion for the treatment of high concentration methanol wastewater. The acid resistance of granular sludge and methanogenic bacteria and their metabolizing activity were investigated. The results show that the pH of the first UASB changed from 4.9 to 5.8 and 5.5 to 6.2 for the second reactor. Apparently, these were not the advisable pH levels that common methanogenic bacteria could accept. The methanogenic bacteria of the system, viz. Methanosarcina barkeri, had some acid resistance and could still degrade methanol at pH 5.0. If the methanogenic bacteria were trained further, their acid resistance would be improved somewhat. Granular sludge of the system could protect the methanogenic bacteria within its body against the impact of the acidic environment and make them degrade methanol at pH 4.5. The performance of granular sludge was attributed to its structure, bacteria species, and the distribution of bacterium inside the granule. 影响杉木人工林可持续经营因素探讨

杉木人工林土壤肥力和林分生产力逐代下降，直接影响杉木林地可持续经营。影响杉木人工林可持续经营的因素是多方面的，主要和杉木人工林所处亚热带红壤区生态系统的脆弱性和杉木人工林群落的单一性及杉木生物学特性等有关，而传统杉木人工林培育过程中采取一系列传统的营林措施则加剧了林地地力衰退。根据目前杉木人工林经营现状，建议在杉木人工林经营过程中应尽量降低营林措施干扰强度，特别是炼山措施的采取；同时开展有关林地可持续模式试验及评价指标体系的研究，以寻找适合不同地区的杉木人工林可持续经营模式。在此基础上，搞好杉木人工林规划和发展，这对南方杉木产区林地可持续经营实践具有较大的指导意义     

试论煤矿区生态环境保护的措施与对策

对煤矿区开发建设中存在的主要生态问题，提出了相应的技术保护措施及其管理对策。     

兰州西固工业区夏季光化学烟雾污染的气象条件

通过对兰州西固工业区光化学烟雾污染规律与气象条件的关系的研究表明,在高空槽后的低空弱高压控制下,西固区出现高的臭氧浓度值,此时大气层结稳定,风很小,天气晴朗,但中午有浓重烟雾,臭氧浓度峰值在中午出现。该区盆地内形成的光化学烟雾烟团水平面积达几十公里,臭氧浓度的日变化取决于太阳总辐射和大气边界层的日变化。     

Food caching in orb-web spiders (Araneae: Araneoidea)

Caching or storing surplus prey may reduce the risk of starvation during periods of food deprivation. While this behaviour occurs in a variety of birds and mammals, it is infrequent among invertebrates. However, golden orb-web spiders, Nephila edulis, incorporate a prey cache in their relatively permanent web, which they feed on during periods of food shortage. Heavier spiders significantly reduced weight loss if they were able to access a cache, but lost weight if the cache was removed. The presence or absence of stored prey had no effect on the weight loss of lighter spiders. Furthermore, N. edulis always attacked new prey, irrespective of the number of unprocessed prey in the web. In contrast, females of Argiope keyserlingi, who build a new web every day and do not cache prey, attacked fewer new prey items if some had already been caught. Thus, a necessary preadaptation to the evolution of prey caching in orb-web spiders may be a durable or permanent web, such as that constructed by Nephila.     

以工业废物制备高效氧化铁系脱硫剂的研究

研究了以硫酸烧渣、转炉赤泥、平炉尘为主要原料制备氧化铁系 (SW型 )脱硫剂的方法及制备工艺。结果表明 :脱硫剂最佳配方为粘结剂 5 %～ 8% ,制孔剂 0 0 8%～ 0 1% ,木屑 8%～ 12 % ,工业废渣 (硫酸烧渣、转炉赤泥、平炉尘等 ) 78%～ 88% ;成型的最佳温度为 15 0℃ ,活化方法应根据主要原料的不同有所差异 ,活化条件以成型活化优于成型前活化
