The authors examined how perceived event‐specific procedural and distributive justice about own and envied others' outcomes interacts with episodic envy to predict counterproductive work behaviors. Our results were consistent with the attribution model of justice, finding that episodic envy significantly predicted counterproductive work behaviors aimed at envied others in the workplace and that this relationship was more pronounced when perceptions of procedural, but not distributive, justice about own or envied others' outcomes were high rather than low. We tested a moderated‐mediation model in which self‐attributions for the outcome mediated the effect of episodic envy on counterproductive work behaviors and that the effect of envy was stronger when perceptions of own or others' procedural justice were high rather than low. This research contributes to the literature on envy processes in the workplace and is the first to use a specific emotion, envy, as a proxy for a negative outcome in a demonstration of the attribution model of justice. Pseudomonas fluorescens SM1 isolate was found to be resistant to some major water pollutants namely Cd2+, Cr6+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Pb2+, BHC, 2,4-D, mancozeb and phenols up to a concentration four times to the normal levels occurring in the highly pollulated regions. Curing experiment brought about the loss of one or more resistance markers indicating the plasmid born resistance. Plasmid profile of SM1 strain showed the presence of one DNA band of 43.6 kb. This Plasmid was isolated from SM1 strain and introduced into Escherichia coli DH5 alpha with a transformation frequency of 6.7 x 10(-4)transformants/recipient cell. The test SM1 strain was also capable of biotransforming Cr(VI) to Cr(III) which is less toxic compounds. Present studies further indicated that the test SM1 strain was not only resistant to 2,4-D, phenols and catechol but also capable of bioremediating these toxicants quite efficiently. Moreover, studies with inhibitors like sodium azide, 2,4-DNP and chloramphenicol suggested that the major mechanism for the bioremediation of the heavy metals other than Cr6+ would be the biosorption process. 相似文献

Plant–bacteria partnerships have been extensively studied and applied to improve crop yield. In addition to their application in agriculture, a promising field to exploit plant–bacteria partnerships is the remediation of soil and water polluted with hydrocarbons. Application of effective plant–bacteria partnerships for the remediation of hydrocarbons depend mainly on the presence and metabolic activities of plant associated rhizo- and endophytic bacteria possessing specific genes required for the degradation of hydrocarbon pollutants. Plants and their associated bacteria interact with each other whereby plant supplies the bacteria with a special carbon source that stimulates the bacteria to degrade organic contaminants in the soil. In return, plant associated-bacteria can support their host plant to overcome contaminated-induced stress responses, and improve plant growth and development. In addition, plants further get benefits from their associated-bacteria possessing hydrocarbon-degradation potential, leading to enhanced hydrocarbon mineralization and lowering of both phytotoxicity and evapotranspiration of volatile hydrocarbons. A better understanding of plant–bacteria partnerships could be exploited to enhance the remediation of hydrocarbon contaminated soils in conjunction with sustainable production of non-food crops for biomass and biofuel production. 相似文献
