Abstract:Pyrolysis experiments were done in the lab scale fixed bed reactor to evaluate the feasibility of fast pyrolysis and liquefaction of algae for bio-oil.Effects of various factors such as final pyrolysis temperature 300~700 ℃,nitrogen flow rate 0~400 mL/min,particle size less than 0.08 mm,0.15~0.25 mm,0.25~0.38 mm,0.38~3.35 mm and more than 3.35 mm as well as mixing ratio,were investigated.Results showed that the pyrolysis of algae for bio-oil is reliable.The maximum bio-oil yield was obtained at final pyrolysis temperature of 500 ℃,particle size below 0.08 mm and nitrogen flow rate of 100 mL/min,with the value being 54.97% and calorific being 31.9 MJ/kg.
