The pulsed laser photolysis/pulsed laser-induced fluorescence (PLP/PLIF) technique has been applied to obtain rate coefficients for OH + dioxin (DD) (k1), OH + 2-chlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (2-CDD) (k2), OH + 2,3-dichlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (2,3-DCDD) (k3), OH + 2,7-dichlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (2,7-DCDD) (k4), OH + 2,8-dichlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (2,8-DCDD) (k5), OH + 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (1,2,3,4-TCDD) (k6), and OH + octachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (OCDD) (k7) over an extended range of temperature. The atmospheric pressure (740 +/- 10 Torr) rate measurements are characterized by the following Arrhenius parameters (in units of cm3 molecule(-1) s(-1), error limits are 1 omega): k1(326-907 K) = (1.70+/-0.22) x 10(-12)exp(979+/-55)/T, k2(346-905 K) = (2.79+/-0.27) x 10(-12)exp(784+/-54)/T, k3(400-927 K) = 10(-12)exp(742+/-67)/T, k4(390-769 K) = (1.10+/-0.10) x 10(-12)exp(569+/-53)/T, k5(379-931 K) = (1.02+/-0.10) x 10(-12)exp(580+/-68)/T, k6(409-936 K) = (1.66+/-0.38) x 10(-12)exp(713+/-114)/T, k7(514-928 K) = (3.18+/-0.54) x 10(-12)exp(-667+/-115)/T. The overall uncertainty in the measurements, taking into account systematic errors dominated by uncertainty in the substrate reactor concentration, range from a factor of 2 for DD, 2-CDD, 2,3-DCDD, 2,7-DCDD, and 2,8-DCDD to +/- a factor of 4 for 1,2,3,4-TCDD and OCDD. Negative activation energies characteristic of an OH addition mechanism were observed for k1-k6. k7 exhibited a positive activation energy. Cl substitution was found to reduce OH reactivity, as observed in prior studies at lower temperatures. At elevated temperatures (500 K < T < 500 K), there was no experimental evidence for a change in reaction mechanism from OH addition to H abstraction. Theoretical calculations suggest that H abstraction will dominate OH reactivity for most if not all dioxins (excluding OCDD) at combustion temperatures (>1000 K). For OCDD, the dominant reaction mechanism at all temperatures is OH addition followed by Cl elimination.  相似文献

A dynamic system based on the water/air equilibrium at the interface within the length of a microporous tube has been used to determine experimentally the Henry's law constants (HLC) of two pesticides: metolachlor and diazinon. The measurements were conducted over the temperature range 283-301 K. At 293 K, HLCs values are (42.6+/-2.8) x 10(3) (in units of M atm(-1)) for metolachlor and (3.0+/-0.3)x10(3) for diazinon. The obtained data were used to derive the following Arrhenius expressions: HLC=(3.0+/-0.4) x 10(-11) exp((10,200+/-1,000)/T) for metolachlor and (7.2+/-0.5) x 10(-15) exp((11,900+/-700)/T) for diazinon. At a cumulus cloud temperature of 283 K, the fractions of metolachlor and diazinon in the atmospheric aqueous phase are about 57% and 11% respectively. In order to evaluate the impact of a cloud on the atmospheric chemistry of both studied pesticides, we compare also their atmospheric lifetimes under clear sky (tau(gas)), and cloudy conditions (tau(multiphase)). The calculated multiphase lifetimes (in units of hours) are significantly lower than those in gas phase at a cumulus temperature of 283 K (in parentheses): metolachlor, 0.4 (2.9); diazinon, 1.9 (5.0).  相似文献

The rate coefficient for the reaction of nitrite with hypochlorite and hypochlorous acid has been studied using spectrophotometric measurements. The reaction rate has been determined in a wide range of H(+) concentration (5< or =-log[H(+)]< or =11). The kinetics were carried out as a function of NO(2)(-), H(+) and total hypochlorite ([HOCl](total)=[HOCl]+[ClO(-)]+[ClNO(2)]) concentrations. The observed overall rate law is described by: -d[HClO](T)dt=[a[NO(2)(-)](2)+b[NO(2)(-)]][H(+)](2)c+d[H(+)]+e[NO(2)(-)][H(+)](2)[HOCl](total)At T=298 K and in Na(2)SO(4) at an ionic strength (I=1.00 M), we obtained using a nonlinear fitting procedure: a=(1.83+/-0.36)x10(7) s(-1), b=(1.14+/-0.23)x10(5) Ms(-1), c=(1.12+/-0.17)x10(-13) M, d=(1.43+/-0.29)x10(-6) M(2) and e=(1.41+/-0.28)x10(3) M where the errors represent 2sigma. According to the overall rate law, a/b=k(1)/k(3), b/e=k(3), c=K(w), d/c=K(a), d=K(a)K(w) and e=K(1)K(a). In Na(2)SO(4) at an ionic strength (I=1.00 M), the values of K(1) and K(a) are (1.1+/-0.1)x10(-4) and 1.28x10(7) M(-1), respectively. A mechanism is proposed for the NO(2)(-) oxidation which involves the reversible initial step: NO(2)(-)+HOCl left harpoon over right harpoon ClNO(2)+OH(-) (K(1)), while ClNO(2) undergoes the two parallel reactions: attack by NO(2)(-) (k(1)) and hydrolysis (k(3)). ClNO(2) and N(2)O(4) are proposed as important intermediates as they control the mechanism. The rate coefficients k(1) and k(3) have been determined at different ionic strengths in NaCl and Na(2)SO(4). The influence of the ionic strength and ionic environment has been studied in this work.  相似文献

The rate constant for the reaction of sulphate radical (SO4-) with Cl- has been determined using laser photolysis, at 248 nm, of peroxodisulphate anions to produce the radicals and time resolved optical absorption of the transient species (at 450 or 480 nm for SO4- and 350 nm for Cl2-) for the kinetic determinations. The experiments were performed, in the absence of added sulphate, as a function of temperature and ionic strength and yielded (at an ionic strength of 0.0157 M): kIV = (9.90+/-0.16) x 10(9) exp((-7.12+/-2.0) kJ mol(-1)/RT) M(-1) s(-1), where the errors reflect the 2sigma statistical error. This reaction produces Cl2-, the formation and decay of which were also monitored allowing a determination of the rate constant of its second-order self-recombination reaction which gave k = (6.50+/-1.40) x 10(8) M(-1) s(-1) at 293 K and zero ionic strength.  相似文献

The cyclization of ethyl 2-(aminosulfonyl)benzoate (ASB) to give saccharin was investigated in aqueous solutions at pH between 5.2 and 9.5 and in the temperature range of 296.2-334.2 K. The initial concentration of the reactant was varied between 1.45 x 10(-5) and 3.86 x 10(-4) M. Ultraviolet spectroscopy was used to obtain the kinetic data. The reaction is acid catalyzed and follows pseudo-first-order kinetics. The experimental rate constant, k(obs), increases with temperature and pH. Its dependence on the temperature and pH is well described by: k(obs) = k1 [OH-] = [(2.52 +/- 0.9) x 10(16) exp(-20.2 +/- 1 kcalmol(-1)/RT) s(-1)][OH-] A mechanism is proposed and the half-life of ethyl ASB is calculated.  相似文献

In the literature, different values of the distribution coefficient KH for HgCl2 between water and air are present in a range that spans more than 3 orders of magnitude. In order to determine if a waste incineration scrubber solution could become saturated with regard to HgCl2, an accurate experimental determination of the distribution constant of HgCl2 at elevated temperatures is needed. In this work, the coefficient has been determined at four different temperatures between 10 and 50 degrees C. The Arrhenius expression obtained is 5.5 x 10(5) x exp[-(8060 +/- 2200)/T] with a corresponding enthalpy for the process HgCl2(aq)<==>HgCl2(g) of 67 +/- 20 kJ/mole. KH at 293 K was found to be approximately 5 x 10(-7) atm M-1, which is in almost perfect agreement with an earlier study. Applying the obtained KH values to waste incineration scrubber conditions shows that no major saturation effect will occur.  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to analyze and compare the efficacy of UV photodegradation with that of different advanced oxidation processes (O(3), UV/H(2)O(2), O(3)/activated carbon) in the degradation of naphthalenesulfonic acids from aqueous solution and to investigate the kinetics and the mechanism involved in these processes. Results obtained showed that photodegradation with UV radiation (254 nm) of 1-naphthalenesulfonic, 1,5-naphthalendisulfonic and 1,3,6-naphthalentrisulfonic acids is not effective. Presence of duroquinone and 4-carboxybenzophenone during UV irradiation (308-410 nm) of the naphthalenesulfonic acids increased the photodegradation rate. Addition of H(2)O(2) during irradiation of naphthalenesulfonic acids accelerated their elimination, due to the generation of ()OH radicals in the medium. Comparison between UV photodegradation 254 m and the advanced oxidation processes (O(3), O(3)/activated carbon and UV/H(2)O(2)) showed the low-efficacy of the former in the degradation of these compounds from aqueous medium. Thus, among the systems studied, those based on the use of UV/H(2)O(2) and O(3)/activated carbon were the most effective in the oxidation of these contaminants from the medium. This is because of the high-reactivity of naphthalenesulfonic acids with the *OH radicals generated by these two systems. This was confirmed by the values of the reaction rate constant of *OH radicals with these compounds k(OH), obtained by competitive kinetics (5.7 x 10(9) M(-1) s(-1), 5.2 x 10(9) M(-1) s(-1) and 3.7 x 10(9) M(-1) s(-1) for NS, NDS and NTS, respectively).  相似文献

Sulfamethoxazole (SMX), a worldwide-applied antibacterial drug, was recently found in surface waters and in secondary wastewater effluents, which may result in ecotoxical effects in the environment. Herein, removal of SMX by environmentally-friendly oxidant, potassium ferrate(VI) (K(2)FeO(4)), is sought by studying the kinetics of the reaction between Fe(VI) and SMX as a function of pH (6.93-9.50) and temperature (15-45 degrees C). The rate law for the oxidation of SMX by Fe(VI) is first-order with respect to each reactant. The observed second-order rate constant decreased non-linearly from 1.33+/-0.08 x 10(3) M(-1)s(-1) to 1.33+/-0.10 x 10(0) M(-1)s(-1) with an increase of pH from 7.00 to 9.50. This is related to protonation of Fe(VI) (HFeO(4)(-) <==> H(+) + FeO(4)(2-); pK(a,HFeO(4)) = 7.23) and sulfamethoxazole (SH <==> H(+) + S(-); pK(a,SH)=5.7). The estimated rate constants were k(11)(HFeO(4)(-) + SH) = 3.0 x 10(4) M(-1)s(-1), k(12)(HFeO(4)(-) + S(-)) = 1.7 x 10(2) M(-1)s(-1), and k(13) (FeO(4)(2-) + SH) = 1.2 x 10(0) M(-1)s(-1). The energy of activation at pH 7.0 was found to be 1.86+/-0.04 kJ mol(-1). If excess potassium ferrate(VI) concentration (10 microM) is used than the SMX in water, the half-life of the reaction using a rate constant obtained in our study would be approximately 2 min at pH 7. The reaction rates are pH dependent; thus, so are the half-lives of the reactions. The results suggest that K(2)FeO(4) has the potential to serve as an oxidative treatment chemical for removing SMX in water.  相似文献

The rates of degradation of 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene (TCB), 2,5-dichloronitrobenzene (DCNB), diuron and isoproturon by Fe(II)/H2O2 and Fe(III)/H2O2 have been investigated in dilute aqueous solution ([Organic compound]0 approximately 1 microM, at 25.0 +/- 0.2 degrees C and pH < or = 3). Using the relative rate method with atrazine as the reference compound, and the Fe(II)/H2O2 (with an excess of Fe(II)) and Fe(III)/H2O2 systems as sources of OH radicals, the rate constants for the reaction of OH* with TCB and DCNB were determined as (6.0 +/- 0.3)10(9) and (1.1 +/- 0.2)10(9) M(-1) s(-1). Relative rates of degradation of diuron and isoproturon by Fe(II)/H2O2 were about two times smaller in the absence of dissolved oxygen than in the presence of oxygen. These data indicate that radical intermediates are reduced back to the parent compound by Fe(II) in the absence of oxygen. Oxidation experiments with Fe(III)/H2O2 showed that the rate of decomposition of atrazine markedly increased in the presence of TCB and this increase has been attributed to a regeneration of Fe(II) by oxidation reactions of intermediates (radical species and dihydroxybenzenes) by Fe(III).  相似文献

Several simple models for the estimation of the half-life (t(1/2)) for the depletion of an organic chemical from a soil surface to air were examined. For moist surfaces, two models are proposed: the first requires knowledge of the soil/organic carbon partition coefficient (K(oc)) and the Henry's law constant (H) and the second the vapor pressure (P(s)) of the chemical involved. Due to uncertainties in the experimental K(oc) values those ones predicted by the group-contribution model of Meylan et al. [Environ. Sci. Technol. 26 (1992) 1560]-and proposed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-should be used. If reliable experimental P(s) values are not available, the first model is proposed, where in cases when H values are not available, predicted ones by the Bond-Contribution method of Meylan and Howard [Environ. Toxicol. Chem. 10 (1991) 1283]-and also proposed by EPA-can be used. In general, the agreement of the predicted t(1/2) values with the measured ones is within a factor of 3-5. Similar expressions, but with somewhat poorer results, are presented for dry field soils. In all cases, the obtained results represent a substantial improvement over those obtained with the currently used Dow method: t(1/2) = 1.58 x 10(-8)((K(oc) x S)/P(S)), where S is the solubility of the compound in water.  相似文献

Hydrogen peroxide-assisted UV photodegradation of Lindane   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Aqueous solutions of gamma-hexachlorocyclohexane (Lindane) were photolyzed (lambda=254 nm) under a variety of solution conditions. The initial concentrations of hydrogen peroxide (H(2)O(2)) and Lindane varied from 0 to 20 mM and 0.21 to 0.22 microM, respectively, the pH ranged from 3 to 11, and several concentration ratios of Suwannee River humic acid and fulvic acid were dissolved in the irradiated solutions. Lindane rapidly reacted, and the maximum reaction rate constant (9.7 x 10(-3) s(-1)) was observed at pH 7 and initial [H(2)O(2)]=1 mM. Thus, 90% of the Lindane is destroyed in approximately 4 min under these conditions. In addition, within 15 min, all chlorine atoms were converted to chloride ion, indicating that chlorinated organic by-products do not accumulate. The reactor was characterized by measuring the photon flux (7.04 x 10(-6) E s(-1)) and the cumulative production of *OH during irradiation. The cumulative *OH production during irradiation was fastest at an initial [H(2)O(2)]=5 mM (k=0.77 micro M s(-1)).  相似文献

The homogeneous gas phase hydrolysis kinetics of the above compounds has been investigated in the 470° to 620°K temperature range. The following biomolecular rate constants were obtained: k(CCl3COCl) = 2.54 × 106 exp (?18,350 ± 1750)/RT, k(CClH2COCl) = 1.14 × 108 exp (?22,630 ± 780)/RT, and fr(COCl2) = 9192 exp (?14,200 ± 2100)/RT liter mole?1 sec?1. Experimental difficulties prevented data being obtained for CHCl2COCl. The half lives of these species with respect to homogeneous gas phase hydrolysis in the atmosphere have been estimated and it is concluded that this is not an efficient conversion process. Heterogeneous hydrolysis by water droplets may be a more efficient atmospheric scavenging process for these compounds.  相似文献

The microscopic reaction mechanisms of diphenylether (DPE) and 4-bromodiphenylether (4-BrDPE) with nitrous acid (HNO(2)) in the absence of O(2) have been explored by the 355nm laser flash photolysis. It was proposed that OH radical, from the photolysis of HNO(2), added to DPE forms the C(12)H(10)O-OH adduct while added to 4-BrDPE forms the 4-BrDPE-OH and 4-BrOH-DPE adducts. The first-order decay rate constants of the C(12)H(10)O-OH adduct, 4-BrDPE-OH adduct and 4-BrOH-DPE adduct were measured to be (1.86+/-0.14)x10(5)s(-1), (2.19+/-0.04)x10(5)s(-1) and (1.56+/-0.03)x10(5)s(-1), respectively. The final photolysis products of DPE and HNO(2) identified by GC/MS analysis were phenol, o-hydroxydiphenylether, p-hydroxydiphenylether and p-nitrodiphenylether, while the final photolysis product of 4-BrDPE and HNO(2) identified by LC/MS analysis was mainly the dimer.  相似文献

Absolute rate coefficients for the gas-phase reactions of OH radical with 3-methylbutanal (k1), trans-2-methyl-2-butenal (k2), and 3-methyl-2-butenal (k3) have been obtained with the pulsed laser photolysis/laser-induced fluorescence technique. Gas-phase concentration of aldehydes was measured by UV absorption spectroscopy at 185 nm. Experiments were performed over the temperature range of 263–353 K at total pressures of helium between 46.2 and 100 Torr. No pressure dependence of all ki (i = 1–3) was observed at all temperatures. In contrast, a negative temperature dependence of ki (i.e., ki increases when temperature decreases) was observed in that T range. The resulting Arrhenius expressions (±2σ) are: k1(T) = (5.8 ± 1.7)×10?12 exp{(499 ± 94)/T} cm3 molecule?1 s?1, k2(T)=(6.9 ± 0.9)×10?12 exp{(526 ± 42)/T} cm3 molecule?1 s?1, k3(T)=(5.6 ± 1.2)×10?12 exp{(666 ± 54)/T} cm3 molecule?1 s?1.The tropospheric lifetimes derived from the above OH-reactivity trend are estimated to be higher for 3-methylbutanal than those for the unsaturated aldehydes. A comparison of the tropospheric removal of these aldehydes by OH radicals with other homogeneous degradation routes leads to the conclusion that this reaction can be the main homogeneous removal pathway. However, photolysis of these aldehydes in the actinic region (λ > 290 nm) could play an important role along the troposphere, particularly for 3-methyl-2-butenal. This process could compete with the OH reaction for 3-methylbutanal or be negligible for trans-2-methyl-2-butenal in the troposphere.  相似文献

The effect of dissolved humic acid (HA) on two types of hydrolysis reactions was investigated: (I) dehydrochlorination of gamma-hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) and 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane (TeCA) as a reaction involving hydroxide ions (OH(-)) and (II) hydrolysis of 1-octyl acetate (OA) which is catalyzed by H(+) at the applied pH value (pH 4.5). The rate of TeCA hydrolysis was not affected by addition of 2 g l(-1) of HA at pH 10 (k' = 0.33 h(-1)) but HCH hydrolysis was significantly inhibited (k' = 4.6 x 10(-3) h(-1) without HA and 2.8 x 10(-3)h(-1) at 2 g l(-1) HA). HCH is sorbed by 51% whereas TeCA sorption is insignificant at this HA concentration. Sorbed HCH molecules are effectively protected due to electrostatic repulsion of OH(-) by the net negative charge of the HA molecules. In contrast, OA hydrolysis at pH 4.5 (k' = 1.6 x 10(-5) h(-1)) was drastically accelerated after addition of 2 g l(-1) HA (k' = 1.1 x 10(-3) h(-1)). The ratio of the pseudo-first-order rate constants of the sorbed and the freely dissolved ester fraction is about 70. H(+) accumulation in the microenvironment of the negatively charged HA molecules was suggested to contribute to the higher reaction rate for the sorbed fraction in case of this H(+)-catalyzed reaction. Analogous effects from anionic surfactants are known as micellar catalysis.  相似文献

In this work, the photooxidation of diethylstilbestrol (DES), a synthetic estrogen, was investigated in a concentric reactor under a 125 W high-pressure mercury lamp (lambda > or = 365 nm). The photooxidation efficiencies were dependent on the pH values and Fe(III)/oxalate ratios of the system, with higher efficiency at pH 3.50+/-0.05 and Fe(III)/oxalate ratio 10.0/120.0 micromol l(-1). The photooxidation reactions obeyed the law of pseudo-first-order reaction at the concentration over the range of 2.0-10.0 mg l(-1) of DES. The photooxidation rates decreased with increasing the initial concentrations of DES. For 2.0 mg l(-1) DES, the observed photooxidation rate coefficient (k(obs)) was 0.00622 min(-1). By using GC-MS and LC-MS techniques, the predominant photooxidation products DES-o-catechol ([M](+), m/z 284) and DES-4-semiquinone ([M](-), m/z 267) were respectively identified and the mechanisms for the oxidative degradation were proposed. When DES reacted with OH radicals, C atoms in 3-position were added with OH radicals to produce hydrolyzed DES radical followed by two oxidation pathways: (1) dehydrolyzing to produce DES-4-semiquinone which was oxidized further to DES-4,4'-quinone; (2) undergoing peroxidation by O(2) and getting rid of HO(2) radical to produce DES-o-catechol. After that, the two H atoms on the hydroxy group of the catechol were extracted in two individual steps to form intermediates semiquinone radical and o-quinone. The catechol intermediates underwent further oxidation, benzene ring cleavage and decarboxylation, up to mineralization ultimately.  相似文献

Although 2-nitrophenol has been identified as an important environmental chemical there is scarcity in the literature regarding the temperature dependence of its Henry's law coefficient, H. Here a bubble purge method was used to measure H for 2-nitrophenol over the temperature range 278-303 K. A novel approach in the data treatment allowed correction of the data for non-equilibrium partitioning in the apparatus to obtain the true equilibrium H value. The experimentally derived temperature-dependent expression for H of 2-nitrophenol is lnH (M atm(-1)) = (6290/T (K)) - 16.6. The standard enthalpy and entropy of gas-to-liquid transfer for 2-nitrophenol in aqueous solution are -52.3 +/- 8.1 kJ mol(-1) and -138 +/- 28 J mol(-1) K(-1), respectively. New data on the aqueous solubility of n-octane, 1-chlorooctane and 1-bromooctane are reported between 1 degree C and 45 degrees C. Henry's law constants, K(H), and air/water partition coefficients, K(AW), were calculated by associating the measured solubility values to vapor pressures taken from literature. The mole fraction aqueous solubility varies between (1.13-1.60)x10(-7) for n-octane with a minimum at approximately 23 degrees C, (3.99-5.07)x10(-7) for 1-chlorooctane increasing monotonically with temperature and (1.60-3.44)x10(-7) for 1-bromooctane with a minimum near 18 degrees C. The calculated air-water partition coefficients increase with temperature and are two orders of magnitude lower for the halogenated derivatives compared to octane. The precision of the results, taken as the average absolute deviations of the aqueous solubility, the Henry's law constants, or the air/water partition coefficients, from appropriate smoothing equations as a function of temperature is of 3% for n-octane and of 2% and 4% for 1-chlorooctane and 1-bromooctane, respectively. A new apparatus based on the dynamic saturation column method was used for the solubility measurements. Test measurements with n-octane indicated the capability of measuring solubilities between 10(-6) and 10(-10) in mole fraction, with an estimated accuracy better than +/-10%. A thorough thermodynamic analysis of converting measured data to air/water partition coefficients is presented.  相似文献

The measurement of diffusive properties of low-permeability rocks is of interest to the nuclear power industry, which is considering the option of deep geologic repositories for management of radioactive waste. We present a simple, non-destructive, constant source in-diffusion method for estimating one-dimensional pore diffusion coefficients (D(p)) in geologic materials based on X-ray radiography. Changes in X-ray absorption coefficient (Deltamicro) are used to quantify changes in relative concentration (C/C(0)) of an X-ray attenuating iodide tracer as the tracer solution diffuses through the rock pores. Estimated values of D(p) are then obtained by fitting an analytical solution to the measured concentration profiles over time. Measurements on samples before and after saturation with iodide can also be used to determine iodide-accessible porosity (phi(I)). To evaluate the radiography method, results were compared with traditional steady-state through-diffusion measurements on two rock types: shale and limestone. Values of D(p) of (4.8+/-2.5)x10(-11) m(2).s(-1) (mean+/-standard deviation) were measured for samples of Queenston Formation shale and (2.6+/-1.0)x10(-11) m(2).s(-1) for samples of Cobourg Formation limestone using the radiography method. The range of results for each rock type agree well with D(p) values of (4.6+/-2.0)x10(-11) m(2).s(-1) for shale and (3.5+/-1.8)x10(-11) m(2).s(-1) for limestone, calculated from through-diffusion experiments on adjacent rock samples. Low porosity (0.01 to 0.03) and heterogeneous distribution of porosity in the Cobourg Formation may be responsible for the slightly poorer agreement between radiography and through-diffusion results for limestones. Mean values of phi(I) for shales (0.060) and limestones (0.028) were close to mean porosity measurements made on bulk samples by the independent water loss technique (0.062 and 0.020 for shales and limestones, respectively). Radiography measurements offer the advantage of time-saving for diffusion experiments because the experiment does not require steady-state conditions and also allows for visualization of the small-scale heterogeneities in diffusive properties within rocks at the mm to cm scale.  相似文献
