An efficient venturi scrubber system making use of heterogeneous nucleation and condensational growth of particles was designed and tested to remove fine particles from the exhaust of a local scrubber where residual SiH4 gas was abated and lots of fine SiO2 particles were generated. In front of the venturi scrubber, normal-temperature fine-water mist mixes with high-temperature exhaust gas to cool it to the saturation temperature, allowing submicron particles to grow into micron sizes. The grown particles are then scrubbed efficiently in the venturi scrubber. Test results show that the present venturi scrubber system is effective for removing submicron particles. For SiO2 particles greater than 0.1microm, the removal efficiency is greater than 80-90%, depending on particle concentration. The corresponding pressure drop is relatively low. For example, the pressure drop of the venturi scrubber is approximately 15.4 +/- 2.4 cm H2O when the liquid-to-gas ratio is 1.50 L/m3. A theoretical calculation has been conducted to simulate particle growth process and the removal efficiency of the venturi scrubber. The theoretical results agree with the experimental data reasonably well when SiO2 particle diameter is greater than 0.1 microm.  相似文献

通过理论分析及工程经验对石灰石/石膏法烟气脱硫工艺中石膏浆液脱水系统的旋流器进行优化设计,在与工业实际相近的操作条件下,优选出了一根综合性能较好的旋流器。考察了该旋流器的压力、流量与分离效率之间相互关系,与常规石膏浆液旋流器的分级效率进行了比较,确定了最佳操作条件。结果表明,旋流器的进口流量随着进出口压力差的增大而增大,分离效率随着流量增加先上升后下降。在进口硫石膏颗粒平均粒径为24μm,流量为11.8~14.8 m3/h时,分离效率在85%以上,底流出口10μm、15μm以下的颗粒分别占底流出口颗粒总体积的1%、10%左右,起到了很明显的分级浓缩作用,分离性能也优于常规使用的石膏浆液旋流器。  相似文献

A large number of pressurized coal gasification processes being developed propose to use venturi scrubbers for particulate removal at high pressures. Theoretical predictions based on venturi scrubber performance models indicate that particle collection efficiency will decrease severely in these high gas pressure applications.

An exploratory theoretical and experimental program was performed to study the effect of gas pressure on venturi scrubber performance. Experiments were done on a 0.47 m3/s (1000 acfm) pilot scale venturi scrubber. Particle collection performance was determined as a function of scrubber pressure drop for venturi scrubbers operating In the range of 1-10 atm total pressure. Experimental results confirmed that the particle collection efficiency of venturi scrubbers decreases for a given scrubber pressure drop as total gas pressure Is increased. To achieve the same particle collection efficiency, the pressure drop across a venturi scrubber operated at 10 atm Is about 10 times that of the same scrubber operated at 1 atm pressure.  相似文献

The droplet concentration distribution in an atomizing scrubber was calculated based on droplet eddy diffusion by a three-dimensional dispersion model. This model is also capable of predicting the liquid flowing on the wall. The theoretical distribution of droplet concentration agrees well with experimental data given by Viswanathan et al. for droplet concentration distribution in a venturi-type scrubber. The results obtained by the model show a non-uniform distribution of drops over the cross section of the scrubber, as noted by the experimental data. While the maximum of droplet concentration distribution may depend on many operating parameters of the scrubber, the results of this study show that the highest uniformity of drop distribution will be reached when penetration length is approximately equal to one-fourth of the depth of the scrubber. The results of this study can be applied to evaluate the removal efficiency of a venturi scrubber.  相似文献

采用CFD软件对湿法烟气脱硫系统中广泛使用的折板式除雾器的主要性能进行了数值模拟。建立了数学模型,对气体相采用基于雷诺时均方程的SST -ω湍流模型封闭N-S方程,对液滴相采用基于Euler-Lagrange的DPM方法。通过调节除雾器的结构参数和工作参数,揭示了气液两相流动的流场,分析了结构参数对除雾器分离效率和工作压力降的影响,可用于湿法烟气脱硫系统中折板式除雾器的设计和优化。  相似文献

The recently developed York Type P acid mist scrubber collects phosphoric acid mists and other very fine liquid particulates with very high efficiency with moderate pressure drop and high throughput. The collector consists of a single vessel containing two stainless steel wire mesh contactors. The collector converts submicron size acid mist into larger liquid particles which are collected and separated from the gas stream before being discharged from the collector. The first commercial unit started operation in July 1964, and four additional units have since been installed. Collection efficiency is 99.9+% at a pressure drop of 35-40 in W.G. The scrubber is compact and has no moving parts. Collected acid drains by gravity to a receiving tank. Experimental development work is described and design parameters such as efficiency, gas velocity, and pressure drop are discussed.  相似文献

The effect of ambient relative humidity (RH) on hourly particulate matter (PM10) readings of beta-gauge monitors has been studied using two collocated monitors in the field. The inlet air of monitor 1 was conditioned with water vapor to increase its RH, whereas monitor 2 operated normally in ambient conditions. Experimental data showed that PM10 readings of monitor 1 were nearly the same as monitor 2, as long as the RH of its conditioned incoming air did not exceed approximately 80-85%. However, when the RH exceeded approximately 80-85%, PM10 readings of monitor 1 became higher than monitor 2, and the difference increased with increasing RH. The measurement of pressure drop across the filter was also conducted, and the data revealed that the increase of pressure drop per unit of PM10 concentration decreased when RH was higher than approximately 80-85%, as compared with the case when RH was lower than 80-85%. This is perhaps because of more porous structure of deposited particles in the beta-gauge monitor when RH is greater than approximately 80-85%. The theoretical calculation using an evaporation model and a thermodynamic model has been conducted to simulate the beta-gauge readings. The results show that the theoretical PM10 concentrations using the evaporation model are in better agreement with the actual beta-gauge readings than those using the thermodynamic equilibrium model.  相似文献

石灰石颗粒移动床脱硫工艺参数是影响脱硫效率和操作压降变化的重要因素,考虑到工艺参数对脱硫过程的影响,基于正交实验方法,通过直观分析和方差分析得到喷淋密度、空床气速、SO2浓度、烟气温度和床层下移速度对脱硫效率影响程度的主次顺序和脱硫效率与各因素之间的关系,并且分析了各因素对脱硫效率的影响规律。研究发现,各因素对脱硫效率的影响程度依次是空床气速>喷淋密度>SO2浓度>烟气温度>床层下移速度。喷淋密度对脱硫效率的影响高度显著,呈正相关;空床气速对脱硫效率的影响高度显著,呈负相关;SO2浓度和烟气温度对脱硫效率有影响但不显著,呈负相关。床层下移速度与脱硫效率呈正相关。  相似文献

利用GT-Power软件建立了柴油机颗粒捕集器(DPF)仿真模型,进行了仿真计算。研究了颗粒捕集器本身结构参数对其捕集效率与压降的影响。结果表明,影响颗粒捕集器捕集效率的主要参数有通道密度(CPSI)、过滤体孔隙率、过滤体微孔直径以及过滤壁厚度;影响颗粒物压降的主要参数有通道密度、过滤体渗透率、过滤体孔隙率以及过滤壁厚度。  相似文献

在研究旋风除尘器内气固两相的运动状况及分离机理方面,计算机模拟替代部分实验的方法能够优化设计旋风除尘器结构参数,提高其对微细颗粒的捕集效率,减少运行压力损失。本研究采用RSM模型和随机轨道模型对旋风除尘器内流场及浓度场进行模拟及实验。研究表明,旋风除尘器压力损失模拟结果与实验结果吻合较好,对于大于5μm的颗粒其捕集效率模拟结果与实验结果基本吻合;旋风除尘器外壁的颗粒浓度呈螺旋带状分布;如将排气管管径减少至原直径0.8倍,可使其对2μm颗粒捕集效率提高6.6%,但压力损失提高36.5%;颗粒的凝并作用有利于提高旋风除尘器微细颗粒的捕集效率。  相似文献

Collection efficiencies are shown for control of fine particles in venturi scrubbers (1) as a function of pressure drop, and (2) as a function of throat area and liquid to gas ratio. A relationship of pressure drop to throat area, gas density, throat velocity, and liquid to gas ratio is given and is used to provide a method for estimating efficiency knowing only these scrubber design parameters. The effect of charged particles and of surface active agents on collection efficiency are discussed briefly.  相似文献

提出一种新型除雾装置——自由旋片除雾器。在实验室条件下,从除雾效率、压力损失两方面研究了自由旋片除雾器的性能。实验结果表明,风速在11 m/s左右时,自由旋片除雾器的除雾效率达到最大值。对比实验发现,自由旋片除雾器的除雾效率远高于固定叶片除雾器的除雾效率,二者的除雾效率最大值相差约10%。自由旋片除雾器的除雾效率变化曲线在6~13 m/s的流速范围内相当平滑,说明自由旋片除雾器对含雾气流流速的波动有很好的适应性。另外,增加液气比和雾滴粒径会提高自由旋片除雾器的除雾效率。自由旋片除雾器压力损失系数仅为4.3,而固定叶片除雾器压力损失系数为6.6。所以,自由旋片除雾器的阻力特性远优于固定叶片除雾器。  相似文献

Particle collection by foam produced on sieve plate apparatus was studied in a 3 x 3 in. sq column and in a 2 in. diam circular column. Experimental data have been obtained for silica test dust, glass beads, sulfur aerosol, polystyrene beads, and extensively for methylene blue aerosol. A new technique utilizing the Goetz aerosol spectrometer was developed and was used to obtain the collection efficiency as a function of particle diameter. A correlation was developed based on inertial mechanism. In this correlation the collection efficiency is expressed as a function of inertial parameter and foam density. The pressure drop in the operating range varied from 2 to 4 in. of water.  相似文献

A pleated filter bag is often used to treat exhaust gas in many industrial applications, due to its fairly high dust collection efficiency and relatively low pressure drop. This work deals with the optimum pleating geometries of a pleated filter made with a newly developed PTFE/glass composite filter. It was found that pleating geometries, including pleat height and pleat pitch, directly affect the cleaning efficiency. The design index, α, which stands for the ratio of pleat height to pleat pitch, is 1.48 for optimum operation. When the α value was higher than 1.48, the pressure drop across the pleated filter medium increased, resulting in a decreased cleaning interval due to the difficulty of filter cleaning. Therefore, it is necessary that the optimum pleating geometry should be determined by employing the dimensionless parameter, α, in the design of cartridge filters.

Implications: A pleated filter bag is often used to treat exhaust gas in many industrial applications due to its fairly high dust collection efficiency and relatively low pressure drop. The present paper introduces an optimum design configuration to make a pleated filter with newly developed PTFE/glass composite filter media. A dimensionless parameter that is the ratio of pleat height to pleat pitch should be considered to make the best quality pleated filter.  相似文献

在海水烟气脱硫中试实验台上进行了填料形式、填料高度变化对脱硫效率和系统压降影响规律的实验研究;研究中将喷淋空塔和分别填装A型、B型、C型3种填料的吸收塔进行了综合性能对比,并进行了填料高度分别为0.6、1.2和1.8 m的对比实验。结果表明,填料塔的脱硫效率高于喷淋空塔;当空塔气速为3 m/s时,填装C型填料的吸收塔的综合性能最优;当空塔气速小于2.5 m/s时,填装A型填料的吸收塔的综合性能最优;在满足相同脱硫效率的指标下,虽然增加填料高度降低了海水喷淋量,并且系统压降出现一定比例下降,但是在工程设计中必须综合考虑塔高、填料支架载荷等因素选择合适的填料堆积高度。  相似文献
