Certain organic carbon moieties in drinking source waters of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta can react with chlorine during disinfection to form potentially carcinogenic and mutagenic trihalomethanes. The properties of reactive organic carbon in Delta waters, particularly those of soil origin, have been poorly understood. This study attempts to characterize trihalomethane reactivity of soil organic carbon from three representative Delta peat soils. Soil organic carbon was extracted from all three soils with either deionized H2O or 0.1 M NaOH and sequentially separated into humic acids, fulvic acids, and nonhumic substances for quantitation of trihalomethane formation potential. Water-extractable organic carbon represented only 0.4 to 0.7% of total soil organic carbon, whereas NaOH extracted 38 to 51% of total soil organic carbon. The sizes and specific trihalomethane formation potential (STHMFP) of individual organic carbon fractions differed with extractants. Fulvic acids were the largest fraction in H2O-extractable organic carbon, whereas humic acids were the largest fraction in NaOH-extractable organic carbon. Among the fractions derived from H2O-extractable carbon, fulvic acids had the greatest specific ultraviolet absorbance and STHMFP and had the majority of reactive organic carbon. Among the fractions from NaOH-extractable organic carbon, humic acids and fulvic acids had similar STHMFP and, thus, were equally reactive. Humic acids were associated with the majority of trihalomethane reactivity of NaOH-extractable organic carbon. The nonhumic substances were less reactive than either humic acids or fulvic acids regardless of extractants. The Status of Pesticide Residues in the Drinking Water Sources in Meiliangwan Bay, Taihu Lake of China 总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10
The study was carried out to assess the levels of pesticide residues in the water of Meiliangwan Bay, Taihu Lake of China. The most commonly employed organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), organophosphorus pesticides (OPPs) and herbicide atrazine were analyzed. The water samples were collected seasonally from Meiliangwan Bay within a period of one year. The pesticides were analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) with μECD or NPD after solid-phase extraction (SPE), which was confirmed by GC with an ion trap mass spectrometry (MS). The mean concentrations were 1.98 ng/l for lindane, 0.378 ng/l for heptachlor epoxide, 0.367 ng/l for p,p′-DDE, 0.496 ng/l for p,p′-DDD, 1.06 ng/l for p,p′-DDT and 51.6 ng/l for dichlorvos, 39.0 ng/l for demeton, 346 ng/l for dimethoate, 4.12 ng/l for methyl parathion, 11.6 ng/l for malathion, 2.17 ng/l for parathion and 217 ng/l for atrazine. Generally, low concentrations of OCP were found, whereas the concentrations of the OPPs and atrazine in the water of Taihu Lake were relatively high. 以硅酸钠、硫酸和硫酸铁为原料制备聚硅酸硫酸铁混凝剂(简称PFSS),考察了PFSS在不同条件下水解产物表面的ζ电位变化情况,研究了Fe/SiO2摩尔比和投加量对PFSS除浊效果的影响,试验了PFSS的最佳混凝pH范围与Fe/SiO2摩尔比之间的关系,探讨了其混凝机理.结果表明,Fe/SiO2摩尔比对PFSS水解产物的ζ电位、PF-SS的混凝效果以及PFSS适宜的最佳pH值范围都有影响;当Fe/SiO2摩尔比达1.5左右时,PFSS的混凝除浊效果趋于最佳. 相似文献

测定了国产高分子小球GDX-102对水中微量有机氯农药(β-666、p,p’-DDE和p,p’-DDT)的吸附容量和富集效率,选取了动态富集最佳水样流速.结果表明,GDX-102对上述三种有机氯农药均有较大的吸附容量,其数值分别为14.2mg/g(β-666)、22.3mg/g(p,p’-DDE)和31.4mg/g(p,p’-DDT).在实验条件下,水样流速在0—60ml/min范围内变化时,对GDX-102的富集效率影响甚小,富集效率接近100%,因此,GDX-102可应用于环境水样中微量有机氯农药的现场采样富集. 相似文献

采用具有遗传毒性的受试化学物处理λDNA后,经体外包装,形成噬菌体颗粒,感染宿主菌LE392,噬菌斑发生率将显著降低。用这一方法对22种化学物和紫外线测试的结果表明,丝裂霉素C等13种受试化学物和紫外线对λDNA具有遗传毒性。根据用限制性内切酶消化和凝胶电泳分析的结果认为,丝裂霉素C(MMC)、甲基磺酸乙酯(EMS)和9-氨基吖啶(9-AA)对λDNA的遗传毒作用机理,可能是它们分别造成了λDNA分子发生随机断裂、DNA交联和在碱基热点上结合的移码突变。 相似文献
